OVER P1 MILLION PESOS IN PRIZES RPN-9 LAUNCHES NATIONWIDE SEARCH FOR “BOSES”!

In a soft launching held last Saturday, June 25, 2013 in SM Baguio City, the first of a series of motorcades and mini-shows opened the year long search for all talented singing enthusiasts age 15 and above as RPN – 9 conducted the live contest on DZBS 1368 khz AM radio station in the city of Pines.

The Regional Search aims to discover, harness and develop the singing prowess of potential talents coming from the 12 regions of the country where the 12 AM Radio Stations of RPN-9 are strategically located. it also aims to boast the image & Tourism revenue potential of the particular city or region where the winners will be coming from.

Robert T. Rivera – RPN-9 President and CEO who conceptualize the project said all participants regardless of gender are welcome to join even the physically handicapped and the blind too. Contestants need not produce a minus one or bring any instruments like organ/piano or guitar as this is pure Acapella in Duet and Trio. “Here we hope to bring about the best vocal rendition in perfect harmony and blending of voice without any accompaniment which is also less costly for any group of persons to join into, and for any recording company to produce,” Rivera further added.

Auditions are held every day now from 1-5 PM in all of RPN-9′s 11 radio stations in the country. All weekly winners will compete during the monthly contest and vie from the quarterly finals.

The quarterly winners will come to Manila fro the Grand Finals in March 2014 for a 2 1/2 hour of musical extravaganza covered on the television by PTV4, Solar News Channel, RJTV and Solar Entertainment. The grand prize winners will have a recording contract, a talent management contract, voice and stage training, trophies, cash and other fabulous prizes.

A Pilipinas Ngayon Na Production, the event is in cooperation with Center for Pop, PCSO, Zoomanity Group/Yamaha, Composite Technologies, Bravo Filipino Magazines, Nestle and SM Baguio.
